Teaching Assistant Level 3/ ELSA (Emotional Learning Support Assistant) job summary
The Lime Trust is looking for Teaching Assistant Level 3 – ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) to join their Teaching and Learning team. The Lime Trust consists of 8 schools, 4 Special and 4 Primary in Cambridgeshire and North and East London)
These posts are to work in Lime Academy Forest Approach, a special school in the London Borough of Havering for children aged 4-19.

The successful candidate will work with the teaching and learning team and the Senior Leadership Team at the school to support pupils, promote best practice, and contribute to the aims and ethos of the Trust and its schools.

To manage pupil behaviour in line with school policy
To support pupils with SEMH access learning by planning and implementing interventions designed to meet their personal needs
Lead the class in the absence of the class teacher for short periods
Provide general support to the class teacher in the management and organisation of the classroom
Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
Provide expertise to deliver a personalised curriculum for each pupil’s learning
Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop
Build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them with respect and consideration
Work together with families and other agencies to ensure every pupil is valued, challenged and supported
Have the highest expectation that every pupil will make sustained academic and personal progress
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
