Teaching Assistant (Level 3) job summary

Willow Grove Primary School is a new four-form entry school for children aged 4 to 11, due to open in September 2024. This is an outstanding opportunity to join the Trust as a level 3 teaching assistant at the school, which is being built in Wixams, Bedfordshire. The vision for the school is to become a Centre of Excellence for the Arts and to provide first class academic and personal development opportunities for all in the school community.

Eventually there will be 840 pupils in the school, although it will initially open with pupils in Foundation and Years 1 and 2.

Part of the Kingsbridge Educational Trust, this is an outstanding and rare opportunity to play a key role in the development and growth of this exciting new school from its very early stages. You will need to be flexible enough to thrive in an ever-changing environment as the school grows over its first few years.

We are looking for a dedicated, dynamic and creative colleague committed to team-working and developing excellence for our pupils, primarily in Early Years. Excellent conditions of service will be offered.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have high expectations of our children in all aspects of school life;
  • Have the ability to forge and maintain positive working relationships with children and their families;
  • Be ambitious for themselves and the school;
  • Be supportive of the school’s vision to be a Centre of Excellence for the Arts.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact the Trust by email at hr@ket.education. Alternatively, further details are available on the school website: https://www.willowgrove.school (or through My New Term).
