Plantation Primary School is a larger than average primary school situated in the vibrant community of Halewood, Knowsley. The school is currently expanding from two-form the three-form entry, offering an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic institution.

The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Plantation Primary School. This is a 30 hour per week position, offering a competitive salary and SEN allowance.
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to:
- Support small groups and individuals, as well as provide class cover supervision
- Engage our vulnerable children in alternative and innovative ways to support their learning
- Embrace the outdoors and nature as a key element to enhance the learning experience of our pupils
- Advocate for outdoor learning and share your passion for gardening and nature
- Develop a range of skills to support all children, including those with special educational needs
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with and/or caring for children of relevant age/subject area, in an educational setting
- Understanding and working knowledge of national/foundation stage curriculum and other learning programmes (within specified age range/subject area) e.g. knowledge of core subject areas etc.
- Understanding and working knowledge of principles of child development, learning styles and independent learning
- Understanding of inclusion, especially within a school setting
- Experience of resource preparation to support learning programmes
- Ability to relate well to children and adults
Qualifications and Training
- GCSE Grade C (Grade 4) or above in Maths and English
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Teaching Assistance/Early Years
- Completed DfE's Teacher Assistant Induction Programme
- Training in relevant learning strategies
- Willingness to undertake appropriate first aid training
- Evidence of a commitment to further professional development
