  • Hours: Full-time, 32.5 hours/week (8:15 AM – 3:15 PM, term time with a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Salary: Grade 3 (£26,409 - £32,654 per annum, pro rata)
  • Actual Salary: £20,649 - £25,532
About the Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Inclusion team and teaching staff to foster the development and education of pupils. You’ll provide specialist assistance, ensure personal care where necessary, and collaborate to create tailored interventions that empower students to overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personalized Support: Assist pupils with SEND, SEMH, and other needs through individualised strategies and care plans.
  • Intervention Coordination: Work with the Inclusion team to develop and deliver effective support and intervention approaches.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Liaise with families and professionals to address behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
  • Classroom Support: Deliver focused support in classrooms and small groups, ensuring inclusion and engagement.
  • Professional Development: Be willing to undertake training in areas such as mental health and first aid.
What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Experienced: With a background in supporting young people (11-19 years) and managing diverse needs, including behavioural challenges.
  • Skilled: Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Empathetic: An understanding of SEND, SEMH, and the barriers to learning.
  • Proactive: A self-motivated team player capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Qualified: GCSEs in English and Maths (A*-C/9-4) or equivalent. Additional qualifications like First Aid, Mental Health training, or safeguarding are desirable.
