Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Term Time

Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 3:45pm with 30 minutes for lunch

The Opportunity

Sidmouth Primary School are looking to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will start by providing support and cover within our dedicated EYFS team. The successful applicant will be required to support the class teacher with the running of the classroom, working with small groups of children as and when needed and under the direction of the teacher or helping to organise resources.

What You Will Bring

We are looking for an L3 Teaching Assistant who:

  • Establishes constructive and positive relationships with pupils and interacts with them according to individual needs
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
  • General understanding of the curriculum and basic learning programmes/strategies
  • Ability to deal robustly with challenging situations
  • Experience of working with both small & larger groups of pupils
  • Experience of working in an educational environment
