What skills and experience we're looking for

Kingsway Community Trust wishes to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and talented teaching assistant to work in and out of class to support an individual child in KS2 with learning and pastoral needs on a one to one basis. The role will be based at Cringle Brook Primary, with the contract in place until the named pupil leaves the school or in the event that their EHCP funding changes.

The named pupil does not need individual full time one to one support; this role is to offer them a bespoke programme of high quality academic and pastoral intervention.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of working in a school setting with pupils with Special Educational Needs. They will be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual. They will demonstrate an excellent understanding of emotional development including nurture and attachment. They will be strong at building relationships with pupils, staff and parents. Strong literacy skills are essential and successful completion of tests in these areas is part of the interview process.

Level 3, Point 7, £22,369 pro rata, 15 hours per week, term time only equates to apx £7,997 per annum.

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 9.30am until 12.30 pm

This position is subject to 2 professional references and DBS clearance.
