What skills and experience we're looking for
- GCSE Grade C in English and maths
- NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum as appropriate to the age of the children being supported
- Strong knowledge of early language development
- Has an awareness of pupils with special educational needs
- Basic understanding of child development and learning
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
- Ability to relate well to children and adults
- Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities
- Can maintain trust and confidentiality where appropriate
- Experience of pupil assessment
- Management and support of pupils with SEND
- Experience of working with young people and children, including those with special educational needs

Totley Primary is a successful and expanding primary school situated on the border of the Peak District in South West Sheffield, with approximately 425 pupils on roll.
