Contract: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time plus 5

Salary Scale: Scale 3, Points 5-6 (£25,583- £25,989) FTE

What does a Teaching Assistant do?

In a nutshell, you will spend your day with an amazing group of children, getting to know their unique personalities and helping them grow. This is a critical role in enabling our pupils to remain amazing, regardless of the challenges they face.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Support: Work with children as directed to promote development and learning.

  • Specialised Tasks: Take responsibility for specific teaching tasks within the classroom.

  • Versatility: Support pupils individually, in small groups, or provide whole-class cover.

  • Inclusion: Assist with individual education and behavioural plans to help pupils achieve their goals.

  • Environment: Support the teacher in preparing the classroom and fostering independence

    Who We Are Looking For

    We need committed, adaptable, and "unflappable" professionals who demonstrate:

    • Qualifications: GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.

    • Experience: Previous experience in an educational environment and supporting children of a relevant age.

    • Technical Savvy: Ability to use technology and office software to support learning.

    • Soft Skills: Strong verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to build trusting relationships.

    • Attributes: High integrity, attention to detail, and an ethically sound approach to work.
