The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent, term-time only basis. You will support our teachers in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for our pupils.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of classroom materials.
- Provide one-on-one support to pupils who require additional help.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and parents.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior effectively.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of all pupils.
Person Specification:
Qualifications and Training:
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Experience:
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs is desirable.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Personal Qualities:
- A positive and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
- Commitment to upholding and promoting the ethos and values of the school.
- High expectations for all pupils and belief in bringing out the best in all.
