What skills and experience we're looking for

Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Reception and Nursery) temporary role until July 2023

Tuesday - Thursday 08.45 – 12.00, 12.45 – 15.15 (17.75 hours p/w), term time only (38 weeks). The position is a Grade D Scale point 3 or 4 depending on experience. The FTE salary is £20,812 - £21,189 paid pro rata.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to deliver high quality support within our combined Nursery/Reception Class, applicants must have:

  • The ability to develop excellent relationships with children and colleagues
  • An enthusiastic, hardworking but flexible attitude towards the role
  • An appropriate level of literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to a minimum of NVQ level 2 in English and Maths
  • EYFS experience
  • A positive approach to work and the ability to use their initiative
  • A good sense of humour and ability to smile in all situations
  • A commitment to accelerating children’s learning and improving their life chances.
