Teaching Assistant Manager job summary
Bideford College are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Manager. This is a key role in the college, reporting in to the College SENCO and having responsibility for a large team of Teaching Assistants. This is a varied, multi-faceted position which supports the learning and development of SEN students. Qualities we would be looking for include flexibility, resilience and a hard-working, can-do attitude.
You will need to be an excellent communicator, with experience of working with young people, preferably in a similar role. You must meet the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or have equivalent qualifications or experience. Additionally, you must have numeracy and literacy skills to at least the equivalent of Level 2 of the National Qualifications Framework.
The successful candidate is likely to have proven experience of working with disaffected children of the relevant age, have experience of preparing, prioritizing, initiating and delivering intervention strategies and have experience of leading or supervising the work of teams or individuals.
Hours: 8:00 to 15:30 (1/2 hour lunch break) Monday to Friday
Weeks per year: 39 weeks a year, term time plus INSET
Salary: C3-C5, £10.23-£10.87, salary starting from £19,740
