What skills and experience we're looking for

Do you have experience of working with young people in Key Stage 2?

We have an exciting opportunity for a KS2 Teaching Assistant at St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Academy in Nottingham. Our KS2 Teaching Assistant will have a talent for engaging children to support the learning of our Year 6 students as they prepare for their SAT’s.

You will:

  • Work with the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of KS2 students.
  • Support individual students or small groups in their academic and personal development.
  • Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement differentiated activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and classroom preparations as required.

This is a part-time role covering a maternity leave and is available for up to 1 year. You will be working for 19.5 hours per week over 3 days on a term time only basis.
