What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to employ an engaging and motivating Teaching Assistant to work in our Inclusion Centre who has the drive, creativity and passion for teaching and learning to join our dedicated and welcoming team.Experience of working with pupils with SEN is desirable but not essential - what is imperative is that you have high expectations, a sense of humour, a love of challenge and a determination to make a difference to the lives of our fantastic children. You will also need patience, understanding and commitment, but above all, you will be sincere with a genuine desire to help young people - the successful candidates will play a crucial role in supporting our pupils’ learning.

What the school offers its staff

Our Inclusion Centre offers 17 places for children all with social, communication and interaction difficulties. The children are taught across two classes and are supported to take part in the mainstream life of the school and access a broad curriculum as well as accessing a range of small group intervention to develop their social and emotional skills.

Qualifications and experience are desirable but not essential; we will consider strong individuals who have worked in an educational environment and are able and willing to learn quickly ‘on the job’.
