Teaching Assistant - Modern Foreign Languages job summary

We are searching for a part-time Teaching Assistant to join our MFL team as soon as possible on a permanent basis. The ability to speak a modern foreign language and work with groups of students to teach them a language would be an advantage, but not essential.

We are looking for:

A Teaching Assistant to support teachers within our Modern Foreign Languages faculty in the delivery of differentiated high quality lessons, and to support students in their learning and development and encourage them to participate in all aspects of school life. We are seeking applicants with good educational qualifications and organisational ability, who have empathy with students, and are able to motivate and encourage them.

HOURS: 22 hours and 40 minutes per week, term-time only, plus 5 training days pro rata. Actual days and hours to be agreed within the normal Teaching Assistant hours of 8.40am – 3.10pm (Mon to Thurs) and 8.40am – 12.50pm (Fri).

SALARY: £18516.00 - £18887.00 gross pa (£9.60 - £9.79 per hour), pro rata for part-time, term-time. Starting salary equates to £9681.91 gross pa.
