Teaching Assistant
Location: Newby & Scalby Primary School
Contract: Fixed Term until 31.08.2025, part-time.
Hours/working pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, term time only
Salary/hourly rate: Grade CD1, SCP 3-4, £22,737 - £23,114 pro rata per annum. (Actual salary - £17,313 - £17,600)

Our Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting students both individually, and in small groups under the direction and support of our pastoral and SENCO leader.
You will:
- Ideally have previous experience in working with children and young people.
- Have a genuine interest in supporting young people.
- Be able to develop positive working relationships with pupils, parents, staff and other professionals.
- Be willing to undertake and act on relevant professional development and training.
- Be able to support in the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for our students.
- Have high expectations of learning and behaviour and inspire and motivate our students.
- Be supportive, nurturing and understanding.
- Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written.
