Are you looking for a role that gives you the opportunity to make a difference? Do you have experience working with children or relevant applicable skills? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are expanding our Teaching Assistant Team and are looking for child centred individuals who can support learning within classrooms, work one to one with targeted students and run interventions to help learners with special educational needs to thrive. We are looking for team players who have energy, enthusiasm and a caring and calm manner. This is the perfect place for a passionate teaching assistant to bring new, fresh ideas and help transform the opportunities for the local community. You will be working with students who have a broad range of academic, social, emotional and mental health needs and will ideally have the skills to promote inclusion and participation beyond the school environment.

At Ormiston Denes we place high value on staff development. We welcome applications from experienced teaching assistants but also for those seeking new opportunities who could benefit from taking part in an apprenticeship.

Part-time and full time term-time opportunities are available. There may also be opportunities for suitable candidates to work at a higher level. Please do get in touch in advance to discuss an application.

If you are looking to work in a vibrant academy which expects high standards from students, places a high value on the professional development of its staff, and feel you have the qualities to meet the demands of this rewarding position then we wish to hear from you.

We are looking for an individual who:

·        Enjoys working with young people.

·        Is resilient.

·        Has high expectations and is a good team player.

·        Is self-motivating and able to encourage others.

·        Is keen and determined to help students overcome the barriers to learning they face on a daily basis, including inclusion support.

In return Ormiston Denes Academy will offer you:

·        An innovative learning community, constantly aiming for high standards.

·        A supportive, welcoming community of professionals.

·        Development and collaboration opportunities, throughout the Ormiston network.

For further details, an informal discussion with Sarah Read, Assistant Principal or to make arrangements to visit the academy, please contact Hr@ormistondenes.co.uk or tel. 01502 574474.
