What skills and experience we're looking for

Outwood Primary Academy Woodlands is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their academy. The successful candidate will work as a Teaching Assistant, by supporting the teaching and learning of Maths and English, under the direction of teaching staff. The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher.

This is a permanent position. The working pattern for this role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only plus 2 days.

There are 13 primary academies within the Trust, as class teacher you will be appointed to a cluster
(see below) and we will work with you to offer deployment to an academy that is suitable for you
geographically, and that matches your skillset, development and the needs of the academies. This
brings opportunity and flexibility should you wish to consider working in other academies that bring
different challenges and experiences to further develop your practice and input to a wider
community. Deployments will always be in consultation and for full academic years unless in
exceptional circumstances.
