Teaching Assistant– Plympton St Mary C of E Infant School, Plympton, Plymouth

 

Contract Term: Fixed Term until 31st August 2026

Hours:  TA part-time 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Salary: Grade SC 2 SCP3 – 5 actual £15,429 per year (FTE £24,027) increase subject to pay award

Term Time only: 39 weeks per annum

Start Date: ASAP

We have a vacancy for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Plympton St Mary C of E Infant School. 

 

You will have previous experience working with children in an Infant School/Key Stage 1 and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike. Working in partnership with the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom assisting pupils to learn and reach their full potential. If you have high expectations and understanding of behaviour of all pupils, experience of delivering interventions for children and can create and maintain a purposeful learning environment, we would welcome your application to be part of our successful and hardworking team.

·       Be flexible to work both as part of a team and with the wider community of professionals;

·       Recent experience of teaching RWI is desirable.
