Teaching Assistant (preferably with HLTA qualification or equivalent) job summary
Initially for one year in the first instance
28. 75 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.45am – 12.30pm 1.30pm – 3.30pm, term time plus 1 week
Lunchtime duty – 30 minutes SCP 1 £11.50 per hour pro rata (claimed as additional hours)
We are seeking to recruit a caring, creative, experienced and outstanding teaching assistant to join our KS1 or KS2 team. Under the guidance of teaching staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for groups of pupils and will be expected to plan small group activities as well as be responsible for assessing pupil’s progress and achievement throughout the year. Experience of the KS1 or KS2 curriculum would be advantageous.
We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have the HLTA qualification or equivalent or who have experience of covering whole classes for PPA cover or staff absences throughout the week, either morning or afternoon. This will be at the HLTA rate of pay £14.41 per hour.
You will join a friendly and committed staff team in a good teaching and learning environment who encourage children to reach their full potential.You will need to be able to work as part of a team and have a commitment to working in partnership with our parents. There will be opportunities throughout the year for Professional Development Training.
