The post is to support a KS2 child with a range of SEMH and cognition needs. Hours of work, 8.40am-12.00 and 1.00-3.15pm.

The Governors would like to appoint someone to join our team who will:

  • have experience of working with children with SEND
  • have experience of de-escalation techniques
  • have good literacy and numeracy skills
  • be enthusiastic and have a sense of humour
  • be able to work as part of a team and be able to use these skills in the classroom environment to help children learn well
  • have a commitment to working in partnership 

Qualifications/Training

  • minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • GCSE in English and Maths

desirable – evidence of post GCSE qualifications

Personal qualities and attributes

  • creativity and initiative to create resources and plan exciting, practical and meaningful learning experiences for primary aged children.
  • the ability to work as part of a team and be flexible.
  • be able to use your initiative to adapt plans and sessions to needs
  • a commitment to working in partnership with parents
  • have excellent communication skills
