Are you ready to make a significant impact on the lives of our children? Do you possess the experience, empathy, and dedication required to provide tailored support to neurodiverse children and those with physical needs? If so, we invite you to join our team at Richard Bonington Primary School.

The role of teaching assistant is diverse and at times may require in class support, but the focus of this role is 1:1 support. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our neurodiverse children and children with physical needs receive the individualised support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We need someone who can:

·        Provide dedicated 1:1 support to students with SEND, which may include operating equipment to assist with the transfer of pupils with physical needs.

·        Assist students with daily tasks, activities, and personal care routines, ensuring their safety, well-being, and independence.

·        Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the learning styles and needs of individual students,

·        Foster positive relationships with students and parents,

·        Support students during in-class activities, to promote their participation and success

. Previous experience of a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.

We can offer the successful candidate:

·   A very positive and friendly ethos.

·   A strong and supportive team.

·   A high level of professional development and training,

·   Highly motivated children

·   A supportive community environment
