What skills and experience we're looking for
Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy are looking to recruit a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, this role is a fixed term positon and is in line with the child’s needs. The hours are 15 hours per week, working Monday to Friday mornings, these hours will be worked during the school term time.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in developing the true potential of children. You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small step by step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries and routines, you will use positive behaviour management in all areas around school.
You will work closely with a child who has an EHCP, you will support them with strategies to allow self-regulation, encourage independence, and adapt learning activities so they are able to access them.
