We are looking for a teaching assistant to join our genuinely amazing team of educators who want the absolute best for the children of Roydon. Could it be you?

The role will involve working across three mixed-age classes, supporting during whole class lessons, guiding small group work, and meeting the needs of individuals. Whatever you are (a teacher, a role model, a guiding light, or counsellor), wherever you are (in class, in a breakout space, around school, or outdoors), all the time you will be encouraging and challenging children to ‘be the best they can be’.

Working hours: 16.25 hours - five mornings per week, working with Year 5/6

Naturally we want a talented and inspirational teaching assistant.  Of course we need an enthusiastic member of staff.  Obviously, we are looking for an effective team player.

However, do you also:

  • have a passion for working with primary aged children?
  • recognise the essential link between ‘learning’ and ‘fun’?
  • have a creative approach to children's learning?
  • understand the challenges of working with mixed-age classes?
  • have secure literacy skills, including accurate grammar and punctuation?
  • want to make a difference to your own development and that of those around you?

If you can answer ‘yes’ to these questions, then we might just have the perfect job for you.  We have fantastic teachers, HLTAs, teaching assistants, governors and, most importantly, children who enjoy learning and smile a lot!  They can’t wait to meet you.

Check out our website at www.roydon.norfolk.sch.uk to get a flavour of what we are about, and then make an appointment to come and see us in action.  If you think you have the skills and qualities for this role, please contact our lovely office ladies on (01379) 642628 to arrange a visit.
