Teaching Assistant job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated individual who has a real commitment and determination to ensure our pupils get the best possible experiences at our school. The role is working one-to-one with an individual child and / or with small groups in Key Stage 2.

We are looking to appoint individuals who:

can plan and work with individuals and small groups of children

inspire and motivate children, colleagues and the wider community

is flexible in their working times in order to cater for children’s needs

has high expectations of children’s attainment and behaviour

The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

The information we request will relate to salary, length of service, skills and abilities, suitability for the job, disciplinary record and suitability to work with children. On receipt of references, your referees may be contacted to verify any discrepancies, anomalies, or relevant issues as part of the recruitment verification process.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS.
