What skills and experience we're looking for
Belmont Infant School is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Scale 4 or 5 Teaching Assistant with proven experience in schools to join our hard working and friendly team. The role involves supporting children in the classroom, including those with additional needs - the successful applicant needs to be flexible, relate easily to young children and adults and be willing to work in a team.
We are seeking to appoint a TA who:
- Has a clear understanding and commitment to Belmont Infants’ approach to learning and its application in the classroom and outside;
- Demonstrates good classroom practice with high standards of teaching and learning;
- Ideally has experience of working in with children in a classroom;
- Is willing to participate in all aspects of school life, including sharing ideas and good practice with their team;
- Has a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team;
- Has the ability to think on their feet and use their initiative;
- Is motivated, passionate and reflective about their work.
Applicants must have GCSE grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
