THE ROLE

As a Teaching Assistant/ School Support Worker at this inclusive school in Huddersfield, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and help our pupils navigate the path to a better future. This includes:

• Getting the classroom ready for lessons

• Listening to children read

• Helping those who need extra support

• Preparing resources

• Completing records

• Taking the lead on specific activities and sessions

• Providing learning routines at school, in the community and in the family home

THE CANDIDATE

• Experience in a school or similar setting

• IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs

• Educated with GCSE Maths and English or equivalent OR willingness to undertake (applicants without these qualifications will start on lower level role/grading therefore salary will be reflective of this)

• Car driver with access to own vehicle OR willingness to learn (support can be provided for this)

SALARY/ HOURS

Salary for a Teaching Assistant/ School Support Worker £20,916.00 - £22,015.00 actual annual salary working 32.5 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust https://wellspringacademytrust.co.uk/careers/why-join-us/
