Teaching Assistant (Secondary) job summary

Chobham Academy is currently looking to appoint a Secondary Teaching Assistant to join its thriving learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional looking to start, or continue their career in a rewarding new role.

Your opportunity

The Special Educational and Disabilities (SEND) department comprises of the SENDCo, Assistant Inclusion Manager, Speech and Language Therapist, Administrator, SEN teacher, two school counsellors, one HLTA and nine teaching assistants. 

We are a vibrant, creative and highly skilled team, committed to engendering inclusion, progression, positive experiences, a sense of affinity and self-worth for all children and young people. We recognise individual aptitude and desires and our values and vision provide equal and appropriate opportunities to all. In order to achieve this, students may receive support from a member of the SEND team and/or external professionals, with whom we collaborate in order to achieve the best possible outcomes. Where intensive support is required, students may work in small group settings for a proportion of their timetable. We facilitate a variety of social and academic targeted interventions. All students with SEND are given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of school life.
