About the role
Both Patrington and Easington Church of England Primary Academy are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant, this is a part time fixed term position working 30 hours per week Monday to Friday during the school term time. This is a split role where you will work across both school sites, therefore having access to your own transport is essential.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in developing the true potential of children.
You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils.
Implementing clear boundaries and routines, you will use behaviour management in all areas around school.
Job requirements
We wish to recruit highly committed Teaching Assistant who has the knowledge and experience of working with children who have special educational needs.
You should have the ability to communicate effectively with our children their families and staff. Within this role you will also be working with and alongside a wide range of different professionals all with the common goal of ensuring the best care and education is given to our children.
You will have positive behaviour management skills, and be flexible and able to work on your own initiative.
You should have experience of working with children who have profound and multiple learning disabilities or Autism, ideally, but not necessarily in an educational setting. A relevant qualification would also be welcomed.
You will be enthusiastic and passionate about child development, play and interactions with knowledge on how you can develop this further to enhance children’s experiences.
