Teaching Assistant - SEN job summary
Thornhill Primary School is on an exciting journey of expansion and growth. It is anticipated that the school will continue to grow over the next four years opening new and additional classes every academic year. Our ambition to be the 'heart of our community' has given us the passion and drive to change and adapt as our neighbourhood continues to grow.
We have a dedicated team of teachers, TAs and support staff, who together, have created a supportive, friendly, enriching and nurturing environment which enables all children to feel valued and safe. Our children are well behaved children who are enthusiastic and ready to learn.
We are looking to appoint an experienced TA for SEN who is keen to progress and flourish to join our supportive team. You must be passionate and creative and always have children at the heart of everything you do.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Has a good standard of education including English & Maths (GCSE/Level 2)
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Has experience working within a classroom setting and with Primary aged pupils
- Has experience working with SEND children
- Has excellent behaviour management skills
- Can work on their own initiative and also work well as part of a team
- Is an excellent role model
