Teaching Assistant (SEN) job summary
Threlkeld CE Primary School wishes to appoint a teaching assistant support the learning and care of individuals with additional needs, particularly speech and language. The successful candidate will work closely with the teacher and SENCO to provide support to individual pupils as part of a small mixed age class group, working both in the classroom and outside of it, for example, on short focused one to one tasks relevant to individual needs and delivering small group sessions. The post is required to directly support an identified ECHP child and is funded by income the school receives for this child. Due to the age of the child this post will be subject to an annual review and is for the period of up to one year in the first instance. If at any point in time the child leaves and /or the funding stops then the post will cease, which is the reason for the temporary contract.
