Teaching Assistant SEND Inclusion job summary
This post presents a unique and exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to play an important part in supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in class, providing care and play opportunities to support social, emotional and well-being needs.
We are looking for a new colleague who is caring, patient, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible, and has a love of learning and is able to enthuse and inspire children. The role will include providing 1:1 support for SEND children who have a variety of needs during their inclusion sessions across the school, and will also involve supporting classroom teaching.
If you feel you can provide support to teachers in the learning and personal development of all pupils including SEND pupils, so all our children can make the best use of the educational opportunities available to them, then we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will be able to establish positive relationships with all our children, parents and members of staff and will have:
• A good standard of education, to GCSE grade C Maths and English
• Preferably previous experience of working with children in an educational setting
• Lots of initiative and the ability to work in a team.
• A wish to play a full part in the life of the school and uphold our strong values.
