What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to support students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). A main focus for this role is to provide practical personal care and support for students with physical disabilities and we are therefore looking for somebody with experience of providing personal care including practical support with personal hygiene, toileting, eating and drinking.

The post-holder will work alongside teachers and pastoral staff as part of the school’s Inclusion Team to enable access to learning for students with a wide range of needs. The successful applicant will be required to promote high expectations and have the ability to support students to access the curriculum effectively. This will involve in-class support, one-to-one sessions and small group work as directed. The role also entails liaising with colleagues, parents/carers and a range of support networks.
