What skills and experience we're looking for
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, National Curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies

Understanding
of child development and learning

Able to actively improve the pupils understanding through modelling, explaining and providing feedback
Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
Ability to relate well to all children and adults
Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
Able to use technology effectively to support learning
Able to communicate effectively in writing and when speaking
Able to effectively manage the behaviour of pupils in line with the school policy
Actively promote the well being of all pupils
Actively support the meeting of individual needs including those with SEND
NVQ 1 or 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience (desirable)
GCSE grade9 to 4 (A* to C) in Maths and English
Evidence of recent and relevant training (desirable)
First aid training (desirable)
Experience of supporting learning with children of relevant age

We are very lucky to have lovely grounds that enable us to include outdoor learning in our curriculum. We have a woodland with an outdoor learning hut, wildflower meadow with activity path and a large field. Our playground has a trim trail that the children love and we now have a Multi Use Games Area with an all weather surface. The classrooms have their own outdoor areas.
