Teaching Assistant job summary

The role includes working with and supporting children in classes, specific groups and may at times include some 1-1 support. for individual children. Our children are happy and eager to learn and our staff are welcoming and supportive.

If you have :

  • a practical ability to develop learning through play and taught activities.
  • a good understanding of child well-being, and the importance of Early Years education and, learning in Key Stage 1.
  • the ability to develop a love of learning and independence in children, motivating and inspiring children
  • flexibility to work across the infant school age ranges

Applicants would ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification in childcare/education or equivalent and must have the ability to converse at ease with our families, professionals and each other in accurate spoken English having also, good written and IT skills.

We are a friendly, supportive staff with happy, well-motivated children. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment.

An enhanced DBS check and references will be required for the successful candidate. Any offer of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undergoing an enhanced DBS check and providing satisfactory references.
