Based in Walthamstow, St Mary’s is a church school that serves the local community, church and non-church goers alike. We believe that every adult and child is precious no matter what race, sex, creed, religion, social background, physical or intellectual achievement. We are a high-achieving and popular primary school with a current roll of 570 children.
At St Mary’s Walthamstow, the results for the last 5 years have been above the national average and we are consistently one of the higher-performing schools in Waltham Forest. We believe our school is very special – a happy and safe environment in which our children can learn, grow and develop into confident and successful young people. We are experts in how children learn best and our teachers tailor their lessons accordingly to encourage the highest standards of learning. We are also pleased to be federated with St Saviour’s C of E Primary school. This federation has enabled us to bring the best practices of both schools to bear on our continued commitment to the children in our care.
