Teaching Assistant job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our excellent Special Needs Department. Caring and enthusiastic people are required to support individual students with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) (aged 11-16) within the classroom environment.

You will be committed to making a positive difference to young people’s lives and in supporting and developing their learning. Your intervention and support will help enable an outstanding learning environment for our young people, providing the support they need to succeed.

Applicants are required to be well-organised, enthusiastic, and hardworking.

The successful candidate will a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills, with a strong educational background of their own. You will have the ability to effectively support learning and teaching, and to develop positive relationships across our school community.
