Teaching Assistant - Support a child with SEND (Named Child: KS2) job summary
Monday - Friday
17.5 hours per week:
The hours will initially be 3.5 hours per day: 08.30am - 12.00noon every day.
The hours may change as the child concerned is likely to attend an alternative provision 1 day per week so the funded hours will be split between 4 days (hours and days tbc)
Scale Level 2A, points 3-4 £21,189 - £21,575 pro rata
Term Time Only and 5 Training Days per academic year
Fixed Term Contract: 01.09.2024 - 31.03.2024

The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to work closely with the supportive school team to ensure the care of the children, supporting their learning and development and ensuring their care.
You will be working primarily in our Year 3 class and are looking for someone to support a child with their learning.
You will:
- have experience of working with children who have SEND needs
- have knowledge, understanding and 1st hand experience of ASD, ADHD and SAL
- be a positive role model
- have a calm manner and a kind, patient nature
- have a good understanding of child development and ways to support children learn and develop
- be a team player, supporting their colleagues with preparation for learning activities
- be enthusiastic and willing to be flexible
- be fully immersed in school life
- act on your own initiative and be responsive to the individual needs of the child
- be able to 'think outside the box', being creative and confident in your daily interactions
- believe in Values Education and bring Values into your daily interactions with all members of the school community
