Teaching Assistant - Supporting Children with SEND job summary

Monday - Friday

7.5 hours per week: 1.5 hours per day time TBC

Scale Level 2B, points 2 £22,366 pro rata

Term Time Only and 5 Training Days per academic year

Fixed Term Contract: 09.09.2024 - 31.08.2025

The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to work closely with the supportive school team to ensure the care of the children, supporting their learning and development and ensuring their care.

You will be working primarily in Reception class and are looking for someone who:

  • has experience of working with children who have SEND needs within a school setting
  • will be a positive role model
  • has a calm manner and a kind, patient nature
  • has a good understanding of child development and ways to support children learn and develop
  • is a team player, supporting their colleagues with preparation for learning activities
  • is enthusiastic and willing to be flexible
  • will be fully immersed in school life

The role is to work in Reception Class with the Class Teacher, supporting a Reception child with their learning.
