o Could you make a difference to the lives of children and young people in West Leeds?

o Do you want to be part of a multi-agency team working with young people in schools in Leeds?

o Do you believe that every child has potential?

o Are you interested in working in innovative, exciting new ways with children who are have difficulties with their school?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and motivated team member who is committed to enabling children – some of whom show significantly challenging behaviour – to achieve to their very best. We are looking for a colleague who thrives when working as part of a team but also shows initiative and can work independently.

Working in OASIS is not always an easy job but is a hugely rewarding one. If you think this might be the right challenge for you and you are interested in finding out more, then we’d be delighted to talk to you – or even better, show you round.

What the school offers its staff

The West Area Inclusion Partnership has an exciting opportunity for a skilled teaching assistant.

The post is based at our KS2 OASIS at Swinnow Primary School. We are looking for a teaching assistant to support our children as they access our small group provision.

Swinnow Primary School is a one form entry school in the west of Leeds. We are a friendly school with lots going on. Swinnow Children’s Centre is on site, which provides services for families with children aged 0 - 5. Our nursery takes children from the age of 2. We also host OASIS – which is a small group provision for KS2 children with SEMH needs. We are proud of our positive ethos and child-centred approach to everything we do.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure Barring Service Check.

We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds.
