Teaching Assistant (TA2) job summary
Role: Teaching Assistant (L2)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2026, with the potential to be extended.
Hours: 35 hours per week, Term Time plus 5 inset days
Salary: NJC Grade C SCP5 – 6 £24,790 - £25,183 FTE per annum, pro rata £20,057 - £20,375 pa

Roseacre Primary Academy are looking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in Reception initially.
The role is initially until 31st August 2026, with the potential to be extended. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 3:45pm.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out a range of duties with our youngest learners including working with groups, with individuals and supporting children with additional needs.

Required skills and experience:
- Must hold a Level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistance or equivalent
- Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to fostering a supportive learning environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff
- Knowledge of procedures, practices and techniques for behaviour management
- Experience of supporting students in building self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience as learners.
- An absolute commitment to achieving the highest of standards
