Teaching Assistant (Temp until Jul 26) job summary

Teaching Assistant Grade 4 (Occasional HLTA cover dependent on candidate experience) - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

30 hours per week, term time only

Required from 1st September 2025, a highly effective teaching assistant to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team in our commitment to promoting the education, development and well-being of all children.

The role may require you to work alongside individual children and groups, and take the lead in managing small groups of pupils for specific intervention. The position will also include supporting pupils for a period of time at lunchtime. We are looking for candidates with strong behaviour management, good interpersonal skills and a caring personality.

In addition to fulfilling the Person Specification, the successful candidate will:

  • have experience of working in Early Years and/or Key Stage 1;

  • be committed to working in partnership with teaching and support staff to plan, deliver and evaluate effective interventions to support the learning experience of our pupils

  • have high aspirations for every child in our school, and strive to ensure that every child receives the very best opportunities to excel and enjoy;

  • be committed to fostering positive relationships between pupils, staff and parents
