We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and proactive individual who is self-motivated and can make a difference to the wellbeing and progress of our children. You will be supporting a range of young children with all their basic welfare and development needs including some with early SEND needs.
The ideal candidate will display a willingness to help a range of children with varied needs, have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and be able to work confidently as part of a team.
The successful candidate will:
• Demonstrate they have experience of working in Early Years Foundation Stage or KS1 children and be able to work with children with early SEND needs.
• Be skilled at building positive and respectful relationships with children, parents & colleagues
• Be an enthusiastic team player who is willing and able to share ideas and expertise
• Be keen to develop their own learning and try out new initiatives
• Be an inspirational teaching assistant who motivates all children to do their very best
• Be committed to ensuring that every child may flourish and reach their full potential
Your duties will include:
• Supporting the class teacher to implement planned lesson learning activities and teaching a small phonics group daily
• Engage and support individual pupils and groups in their learning (e.g. phonics, reading & writing)
• Provide welfare support to children and attending to first aid incidents
• General support in the classroom planning resources and setting up the classroom
• Providing administrative support to the class teacher to prepare resources for class
• Supervising children on the playground at break times and during lunchtimes
