What skills and experience we're looking for
Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in the education of our students. They promote the learning and personal development of all students, including but not exclusively, those with special education needs and disabilities. Working as part of our Inclusion Team, the Teaching Assistant willprovidesupport in the classroom and work with specific students, across all subject areas.
We require a suitably experience person to fill this post which contributes to our provision of the highest quality inclusion. You will work with students experiencing a variety of learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties, focusing primarily on supporting students to achieve their personal best. You will be calm, confident, organised and be able to create a positive learning environment. There may also be an option for further hours for after-school clubs. You will have:
* Maths and English GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent
* Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students, staff and parents
* Experience of working within a school environment or with young people
The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
