Teaching Assistant job summary

The Howard School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Teaching Assistant, to start with immediate effect. You will support pupils, parents, teachers and the school to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make good academic progress.

This is a part time (27.5 hours per week), fixed term role, Term Time Only, paid based on the NJC pay scale D2 points 4-11 (FTE £24,404 - £27,269 – actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis).

This is a fixed term position due to child linked school funding until 17th July 2026 (End of Term 6).

The working pattern for this position consists of Monday-Thursday 8:30-14:55, and Friday 8:30-13:00, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day.
