What skills and experience we're looking for

Required as soon as possible, Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Ilkley is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work in our school.

The post would be suitable for a person with recent experience of working with children, for example working in school, childcare settings or other equivalent experience.

We require a Teaching Assistant who has numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE Grade A*-C, or equivalent) and who is:

Caring, patient and intuitive to the needs of the child to enable them to access the curriculum as designated by the teacher.

Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school.

Professional, responsible and aware of the need to maintain confidentiality.

Flexible in approach and willing to help with general classroom activities.

Able to communicate effectively with pupils and staff.

Able to undertake lunchtime supervision.
