Teaching Assistant to provide support for a child with an EHCP job summary
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP, between 08:35 and 12:05 every morning!
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (level 2) who, under the instruction & guidance of our wonderful teaching team, can undertake work, to support a child with an EHCP. The child`s needs are around speech and language, processing and dyslexia. This position would suit a positive, energetic, proactive team-player who is enthusiastic about making a difference!
Responsibilities include:
- Attending to the pupils’ personal needs, and implementing related personal programmes, including social, health, and welfare matters
- Undertaking programmes linked to local and national learning strategies to support pupils to achieve learning goals, recording achievement & progress and feeding back to the teacher
- Supervising and providing particular support for a named pupil, ensuring access to learning
- Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
- Creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans
