  • Experience of working in a school environment
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages, SIMS, databases and web technologies

  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
  • ICT literate with a working ability to use key IT software to present work to a high standard
  • Ability to relate to students in a pleasant the sympathetic manner and to recognise potential child safeguarding issues
  • Efficient and effective organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to respond quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, understanding Academy roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
  • Ability to adapt own approach in accordance with pupils needs
  • Advanced understanding of national curriculum and other basic learning programmes/techniques
  • Experience of resources preparation to support learning programmes

Salary:SCP 10- 12, £25,545.00 - £26,421.00 FTE (£21,349.06 - £22,081.17 Pro rata salary)

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment

Base:Walbottle Academy, Hexham Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 9TP

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
