Teaching Assistant with English Responsibility job summary
CP Riverside School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who has the ability to motivate and inspire young people who have struggled to progress and achieve in a mainstream school. You will be a key member of a small team and you will work alongside teachers to support students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, as well as assisting with the planning, delivery and evaluation of teaching and learning activities. You will be encouraged to participate in whole school activities and support the pastoral team.
In this role you will be an integral member of the English team supporting students to access our KS3 and GCSE KS4 English curriculum.
You will be a resilient individual who has a passion for making a difference to the lives of young people. You will be supporting students with special educational needs, including ADHD and SEMH and students presenting challenging behaviour. The ability to enthuse, encourage and build healthy relationships with young people will ensure success in this role.
