What skills and experience we're looking for
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Experience of trauma-informed approaches would be helpful but not essential
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate and caring attitude
- A team player who is willing to support and collaborate with other staff members while embodying our values of respect, kindness, and resilience
- GCSEs in Maths and English

We are a community driven by the values of respect, kindness and resilience, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and spend some time supporting a delightful child with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the child in the areas of SEMH mental health.

Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in providing a high-quality educational experience for children under the direction of the class teacher and Headteacher.
- Provide some 1:1 support to a child with an EHCP and support group interventions
- Act as a safe and reliable person for the children to rely on, helping them have a successful day at school
- Work closely with teachers, SENCo and other staff members to provide a cohesive and supportive environment that aligns with our vision and values
