Teaching Assistant job summary

27.5hrs per week
Initially an EYFS post but may change according to experience and expertise.
The successful candidate will:
- have recent experience of working with children of this age range in a professional capacity
- have a commitment to ensuring every child has the very best start to their school life
- have recent experience of working in an educational, pre-school or equivalent professional child-care setting
- understand how young children learn
- be a team player who is well organised and resourceful
- be able to work independently when necessary and with initiative
- have a calm, positive and 'can do' approach
- understand safeguarding procedures and the importance confidentiality
- have excellent communication skills, relating well to children, colleagues and parents
- have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics
